Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. The following observations have been made in your ultrasound report. 1. Uterine findings suggestive of adenomyosis. 2. Chronic hydrosalpinx in the right adnexal mass. 3. Chronic tubo-ovarian complex in left adnexal mass. Adenomyosis is a medical condition characterized by the abnormal presence endometrial tissue (the inner lining of the uterus) within the myometrium (the thick, muscular wall of the uterus). Adenomyosis can cause menstrual cramps, lower abdominal pressure, and bloating before menstrual periods and can result in heavy periods. A hydrosalpinx is a distally blocked Fallopian tube filled with serous or clear fluid, oftern caused due to chronic infection. Tubo-ovarian abscesses (TOA) is one of the late complications of pelvic inflammatory disease. Hence, the above features are suggestive of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease and its complications associated with it.
